BASICS OF NURSING
DEFINITION
Nursing practice standards are descriptive statements that
affect the nature of current nursing practice, current knowledge and current
quality of nursing care. As such they are a means of establishing
accountability of nursing care rendered by the provisional nurse.

provides hands-on care to patients in a variety of settings.

nurse maintains a patients dignity.

the confidentially of all information.

should be promoting and supporting individuals rights to dignity.
Ø Acknowledging
individuals personals beliefs and identity and respecting diversity.
Ø To
maintain privacy.
Ø It
should have well communication.
PURPOSES
Ø Develop
and extend the scientific base of knowledge, Which is required for quality
nursing care, education, and administration.
Ø Provide
for evidence-based nursing practice.
Ø Help
in expansion in Knowledge, which is essential for the growth of the nursing profession.
Ø Nursing
is a profession within the health care sector focused on the care of individuals,
families and communities so they may attain, maintain or recover optimal health
and quality of life.
